It is useful to know a little about each of the airports you may be arriving into we have been using them for years and would like to pass on our tips.
GENEVA AIRPORT (Cointrin)

Geneva is a modern, clean and a well organised airport with a few nice shops, bars and restaurants. Just before passport control there is a lovely little restaurant which does a great rosti. Also on the top floor again before passport control there is a nice restaurant where the food is very good and a snack bar.
Once through passport control there are more bars and restaurants which a nice but sometimes a little crowded. Beware you leave enough time to get through security as there are often queues.

Car Rental is directly under the airport close to the baggage hall making it very easy and quick to get there.
LYON AIRPORT (St. Exupery) 0826 800 826 From France

Lyon is a small airport but with lots of walking, everything seems a long way on foot. There are not many shops but a few bars. Our favourite is the bar in the Sofitel just around the corner towards car rental. Take the lift to the first floor.
Car Rental is a bus ride away and not very convenient if you have lots of baggage as you will have to load it on and off the bus.
